[ Team Equipment Manager ]

(Equipment Manager Spotlight) - James "Tuck" Tucker

Tuck was our equipment manager for the 1984 Section Champs. He was always "johnny on the spot" when we needed him. He made sure we had what we needed from equipment, tape, Icy Hot, water, ice or Gatorade. Tuck worked well with the team, coaches and players, and we could not have had a better or more enthusiastic manager. Tuck was present at all team functions and never missed a practice or game. He was very loyal to the Vikings and wore his pride well, as shown in the patches below supplied by Tuck from his letterman jacket. It takes everyone to win a championship because football is a team effort. Tuck was part of that team. Thanks for the memories, Tuck. We appreciate and recognize what you did for the squad and how hard you worked to help us win. You took names.
